Behaviour Management: Training

girl behaving badly

I offer training for family, teachers, care staff and other professionals who work with children with behavioural difficulties. Practical guidance can help these key people to achieve the best outcomes for the children concerned. The training I deliver helps with increasing understanding, improving relationships, developing strategies and managing personal stress.

Training is tailored to the needs of the group and often includes:

  • Increasing the understanding of behaviour
  • Increasing the understanding of communication
  • Increasing the understanding of sensory differences
  • Increasing the understanding of attachment
  • Managing the personal stress that is very common when living with or working with children with behavioural difficulties
  • Developing positive relationships
  • Developing confidence in using communication aids
  • Developing ways to manage sensory differences
  • Developing strategies to manage inappropriate behaviour
  • Using a specific framework to help address future difficulties
  • Improving sleep difficulties
  • Managing feeding difficulties
  • Working with children with autism

I provide training that is informative, interactive and thought-provoking and that develops the skills and confidence of individuals to a level where they feel able to manage in the future with limited professional support.

Further support including consultation is available following training if needed.
